I was given this book for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads
I really liked Dean. He was well spoken, thoughtful, showed emotions, but was still tough. Matt, while I imagine many like him, I was not his biggest fan. I felt he was almost mean towards Dean. I really dislike people who are dismissive of others. I understand that Matt was protecting both himself and Dean, but I just couldn’t get on board with how he decided to protect himself.
Matt was always pointing out to Dean how “clingy” or “crazy” he was being, but I thought that Matt was the more whiny of the two. Matt gave excuse after excuse, while Dean was trying to give solutions to the issues that they were having. While they were together, they were great. They were thorough lovers and the reader could see how much they cared for each other. But, once they were outside of the privacy of their bubble, Matt became this totally different character.
The crimes of this book, while not overtly bloody or gruesome did end up becoming much more dangerous.  I really enjoyed the story line – it was one that held my interest and made me think. I always enjoy a good mystery.
Overall, I have enjoyed the couple of Byrnes books that I have read.

Jenna Byrnes could use more cabinet space and more hours in a day. She’d fill the kitchen with gadgets her husband purchases off TV and let him cook for her to his heart’s content. She’d breeze through the days adding hours of sleep, and more time for writing the hot, erotic romance she loves to read.

Jenna thinks everyone deserves a happy ending, and loves to provide as many of those as possible to her gay, lesbian and hetero characters. Her favorite quote, from a pro-gay billboard, is “Be careful who you hate. It may be someone you love.”
