Title: Seth & Casey (Storming Love 2 Blizzard Book 3)
Author Name: R.J. Scott
Publication Date & Length: February 7, 2015 – 71pgs
The blizzard of the century has stranded teacher Casey McGuire and pupils at a country retreat. As a last resort and fearing for their lives he calls his ex, fireman Seth Wild. The same man who promised that he would always be there for Casey.
Seth is on sick leave after a terrible accident leaves him near dead. He’s wallowing in self pity and he’s already driven away the only man who cared about him. Casey. When he receives the call, he is the only person left to help and nothing will stop him.
Because if Seth can’t help, then very possibly Casey and the kids won’t make it out of this alive.
This is a very sweet short novel. I like books about relationships beyond the initial passionate falling in love stage and this one started with a marriage on the edge of collapse.
Seth is a fireman. He was seriously injured in a fire that has left physical and emotional scars.
After supporting Seth for too long, his husband Casey finally walks away after Seth’s behaviour becomes frightening.
When Casey is stuck in a blizzard with a group of school children, Seth is the only person he can call for help.
RJ Scott is a reliably good writer. Even in a really short book, she manages well developed characters, a great sense of place and a complex relationship.
This is a comfort book. The story is gentle and the plot obvious, but she has us rooting for the couple from the start. It is the perfect book to read in front of a fire on a grim winter’s evening.

About me…I live in the UK just outside London. I love reading anything from thrillers to sci-fi to horror; however, my first real love will always be the world of romance. My goal is to write stories with a heart of romance, a troubled road to reach happiness, and more than a hint of happily ever after.
